Below are the project I completed as part of my first year studying Product Design at Sheffield Hallam.
S1 inspired speaker
This brief included taking inspiration from a postcode area.
The constraints of the brief meant that we had to consider the three different types of speaker and that the visual inspiration must obvious in the final outcome.
My design took inspiration from the street furniture that can be seen in the city centre of Sheffield (specifically Howard street and Hallam square).
Durabeam Torch replica
The first project undertaken as part of my degree was to recreate the Durabeam torch using the tools and materials available to myself in the workshops at the university.
This was a very important project as not only did it teach me the importance of replica models but also how to use the machinery and tools in the workshop which I would use throughout my time on the degree programme.
This brief was to design a bicycle light for a specific client. I chose to design my light for a delivery cyclist. The design had to be modern and stylish, as well as easy to remove from the handle bars.
This project developed my skills in Solidworks and Keyshot.
